Away From Stranaska . . . For nearly 30 years, Marla experienced a rewarding and successful career as co-owner and operator of Natural Image Salon. God-given talent and capability, co-mingled with tenacious dedication and family support, allowed her the parenting flexibility of juggling job and responsibilities with school activities and her involvement in civic organizations. Marla's daughter, Andrea, son-in-law, Joe, and granddaughter, Madelynn, now reside in New Braunfels, TX. Her daughter, Andrea, is expecting her second child in April 2004. Marla's son, Ryan, along with Carla Gulbrandson and her two children, Tyler and Whitney, now reside in Lincoln, NE. Marla's two children and extended family members have given her many blessings and things for which to be proud. Her hobbies include playing the English handbells, singing in the church choir, and enjoying the outdoors. Marla's talents in the kitchen have added to her enjoyment of entertaining and sharing vegetables, flowers, and recipes with family and friends. Marla and her husband, Jerry, were born in the same small rural community in south-central Nebraska. Close family ties, good morals, strong work ethics, and devoted service to church and community were a way of life. Those same qualities remain as key ingredients in her home life now in Fort Collins, CO, and also in her new professional life as a proud member of the Stranaska team.
