CA2M 708 is part of the Vintage MAVRO™ Series which is integral to Stranaska’s expanding product line of secondary calibration artifacts for analytical metrology (CA2M). INTENDED APPLICATION:
Designed for European Pharmacopoeia applications, the use of CA2M 708 facilitates absorbance accuracy verification as part of science-based spectrophotometer qualification for quantitative methods in which typical absorbance measurements are less than 1.0 AU. Spectrophotometer qualification using CA2M 708 is valid for those analytical methods run in the ultraviolet spectrum.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Stranaska’s CA2M 708 is a secondary transfer standard which is derived from NIST SRM 1935. The CA2M 708 standard is comprised of a 60 mg/L solution of potassium dichromate in 0.01 N sulfuric acid. A solution comprised of 0.01 N sulfuric acid is provided as the reference blank. Both solutions are flame-sealed in individual fused-silica cuvettes of optical quality. The solution/filters are stored in a protective black Delrin canister. The potassium dichromate solution is calibrated for net apparent absorbance at four discrete wavelengths in the ultraviolet region of the spectrum: 235.0 nm, 257.0 nm, 313.0 nm, and 350.0 nm.

CERTIFICATE OF CALIBRATION:
The Certificate for CA2M 708 contains 4 certified net absorbance values. Metrological treatment is provided for the parameter certification with respect to its scope of calibration, measurement traceability chain, traceability pathway, timeline, and uncertainty budget.
