CA2M 703 is part of Stranaska's Vintage MAVRO Artifact Series. This commemorative series is maintained in tribute to the memory, appreciation, and mentorship of Dr. Radu Mavrodineanu, the “founding father” of NIST’s contemporary high-accuracy spectrophotometric SRM program.
INTENDED APPLICATION:
The proper use of CA2M 703 facilitates verification of the accuracy and linearity of the photometric scale of commercial absorption spectrophotometers used for quantitative analysis methods in which typical absorbance measurements in the visible spectral region are between 0.5 AU and 1.0 AU.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
CA2M 703 is produced and certified within the rigorous quality framework of Stranaska's PhD-credentialed UV/VIS spectrophotometric metrology program. CA2M 703 is comprised of three (3) neutral-density glass filters, each of which is mounted in a metallic cuvette-style holder, and an empty filter holder. The filters are stored in a protective black Delrin canister. Each glass filter is calibrated for optical transmittance, and transmittance density (absorbance), at five discrete wavelengths in the visible region of the spectrum: 440.0 nm, 465.0 nm, 546.1 nm, 590.0 nm, and 635.0 nm.
CERTIFICATE OF CALIBRATION:
The Certificate for CA2M 703 contains 15 certified optical transmittance values and 15 certified transmittance density values. Metrological treatment is provided for the parameter certification with respect to its scope of calibration, measurement traceability chain, traceability pathway, timeline, and uncertainty budget.
